Work Habits "I always look like a slob because I'm usually covered with blood," laughs Pearce, who fashioned Norton's injuries, including a single-nostril bloody noses, bruised knuckles, and stiches inside his mouth. "Edward gets pretty messed up," she says. "I wanted [it] to look gritty and realistic."

'Fight Club' Preparation Pearce spent hours studying extreme fighting and pay-per-view boxing. Watch for the extra with a chunk missing from one ear, she suggests. "Mike Tyson was my inspiration for that one."

Next Working with Nicolas Cage for Gone in 60 Seconds. "It's not real blood intensive," Pearce laments, "but there is a lot of action."
